Opinions needed!

I'm trying to decide if I need to go dress shopping for the wedding we're going to in May or not. I'd like to possibly wear the black satin dress that I bought for Nate's and my honeymoon cruise December 2006, since it should be appropriate being that it's a formal, night-time wedding and will be indoors. I'm going to email the bride next week

Thank you! I hope Christina (the bride) agrees. :) I've gotten the jist that it's going to be really formal, based on what she's talked about with the wedding and the style of the invites, but you never know until you ask! :)

I think the days of black being inappropriate for a wedding are long over. I love the idea of adding blue jewelry, it really gices it a punch of color. I love the shoe clips!

I think that's perfect - the silhouette, the length, everything. Simple, elegant dress with your "sparkle" in your details...definitely appropriate. And I think the blue makes it a little more young and awesome. I don't think you NEED the clips for your shoes, but I don't think it makes it tacky at all. :-D

Thank you! I had these grand plans to go shopping and figured I'd check the closet first, so I'm glad that I did. I just hope that the satin material is appropriate for the formality of her wedding. :) I'll find out on Monday.
