Huh. Tonight's episode of Gossip Girl was...interesting. ( In loving memory )

If Serena stays in Bueno Aires, I vote that Lily goes to join her. For real.

I forgot to mention Lily throwing Bart's death back in Chuck's face. Just, wow. That was such a low blow. I get that she was probably tired of having to defend herself, but you just don't DO that. Especially since, if she didn't want to have to defend herself, she shouldn't be giddily planning to hook up with Rufus before her husband's body is even COLD.

And Serena's little tantrum at the funeral? My god, I wanted to slap her. She just kept pushing and pushing. I don't even like Aaron that much, and I felt it was rude towards him. But more importantly, Grandma Cici was right - this is Chuck's FATHER they are burying. If he doesn't want Dan there, Dan goes. It doesn't matter what Serena wants. She can pull her head out of her ass for two seconds and acquiesce to someone else's wishes. Actually - she can't, as was clearly illustrated.

Yeah, the fact that Lily was going to pop off to Cornwall or wherever THE DAY AFTER THE FUNERAL was remarkably lame. I realize that she had already decided to leave Bart before he died, but what the hell? I'm kind of glad that Grandma Cici dropped the bomb on Rufus and he was totally pissed. Lily doesn't deserve to be happy right now.

There is something to be said for common decency. If Rufus and Lily were so sure that their love was strong and going to last, they could have waited. Bottom line.

I totally thought that Chuck wasn't going to tell, but that he would change his mind if he found out that Lily and Rufus were going away together so soon after. I didn't count on Grandma Cici dropping that ball for him.

For serious, how does a forty-year-old mother suggest this to a sixteen-year-old kid who just lost his only real family?

It is quickly becoming evident to me that Serena is very much her mother's daughter. Selfish bitches, the both of them.

I completely agree with you on the Rufus/Lily thing. Why is her killing my love for them?

Seriously, it makes me so sad! I loved them so much last season, and this year they are ever so slowly destroying that love. BOO.

I totally agree with Serena being Lily's daughter. The Waldorf-Roses totally trump the van der Woodsen women!

Is it possible that Chuck is Lily's son?

Given all the angst earlier in the season with respect to Bart's issues with his son because his wife died giving birth, I'm guessing no. But hey, it's a soap, so I suppose anything is possible.

Didn't you think it was odd that Lily thought it was a "great idea" for Serena to go to Buenas Aires for Xmas? Wasn't Lily, that selfish bitch, all "family, family, family" just a few eppies ago -- and poor Erik. With her running off with Rufus, was he just going to be by himself for the holidays. Great idea with him being all lonely and such. Excellent mothering.

Apparently family is only important if it somehow involves hanging out with Rufus (Ex.: Thanksgiving). Seriously, what was poor Erik going to do? Hang out with his possibly philandering pseudo-boyfriend Jonathan? Eesh.

P.S. I still need prompts for this, if you're inclined to request something. :)
