I n other news: Last week (before I was consumed by writing), the kids and I went to NC to visit my brother and sister. On Sunday we went to my sister's farm where she let the kids ride on a pony. They were so cute! I'm in trouble now (Kids + Pony = More $$$ than I've ever seen ( Read more... )

1. You become like the people you hang with/ talk to, so hang with people who make you smile or LOL.
2. Nothing is "perfect " except for people/things on TV.  Don't let external definitions of perfection/success/whatever hold you back from being yourself.

 Thought I'd comment a little on the event I went to last Saturday. First,  it was HOT, HOT, HOT! outside. But that's just weather. No big deal.
It was way out in the wilds of Surrey. Sam and I took Patrick's truck and went over the bridge. I sang along with the radio most of the way. Sam is a tolerant listener (grin).

He came home yesterday. 
I'm making plans to take him to an event Saturday. I'm hoping to camp out. He's never camped out before, but I figure if he can handle non-stop cross-country plane flights, he's old enough to try camping.
