I'm watching Al Jazeera English streaming results live from the Iranian election...
(For those of you playing along at home, both sides are currently claiming victory, the polls stayed open for 4+ hours after they should have, turnout is estimated north of 60% (some saying 70%), and the vote counting is just beginning)

When last I declared doomsday was coming re: swine flu, the media couldn't shut up about it and there were under 100 suspected cases in the U.S.
That was roughly 1.5 months ago. Right now there are ~19,000 confirmed cases, ~1,200 suspected cases, and 50 deaths in the U.S.

Cost of a new (anounced today) 32GB iPhone 3GS w/ 2 year contract: $299
Cost if you are an existing iPhone/AT&T user who wants to upgrade to the 32GB Iphone 3GS: $699
The iPhone has never struck me as that interesting, but that pricing scheme seems ridiculous for a company with a loyal user base they want to entice to upgrade.

I'd say one of those two has perhaps stumbled upon an successful platform, and the other had the misfortune to be spawned from (and inherit the political dispositions of) a man who closely resembles a ghoul.
