Just as I thought.

What I'm most afraid of, personally, is that when the glaciers melt and the oceans absorb more of the land, we'll lose a lot of bodies of fresh water. Then we'll have to fight for the stores that are left, or rely on governments/corporations that run desalination plantsThat is just a recipe for bad ( Read more... )

Seconded! There are many things that need worrying before the ice caps melt...perhaps i can buy a place that'll be beach front property in 100 years.

I'm not sure what you guys are getting so bent out of shape about.

Sean: Considering the fact that they're saying we're going to see a decrease in the food supply by 2020, I think it's something to be worried about. Global warming is quickly becoming very, very important.

The more the ice caps melt, the less reflective ice there is, so that will just speed up the process of temperatures increasing. Beachfront property? Considering your current 'status' in the world, be happy if you'll continue to survive on your cheeseburgers and whatever else once we can't sustain as many cows and things :P
