There's something about the man which, to Arthur's sensibilities, should be inherently offensive. How he dresses, how he talks, every single thing about his body language. All of it should set Arthur's teeth on edge.

oh my god this is so, so, so amazing. My friend pointed it out to me and was like "have you read this!" and i hadn't, and i'm SO GLAD SHE DID, because I might have missed this otherwise and that would have made me SO SAD.

everything about it--the way you depict Eames' reluctance, his trying to pass, his resignation that his being ace could make Arthur leave, without ever altering his self-acceptance--just feels so real and believable and vivid, and all of it never stops feeling in-character. it's brilliant, it's so brilliant, and above all you have such complete and utter love and trust between them. it's heart-squeezingly good, and i love that this particular conflict has the side-effect of making Arthur fixate on all the things he *loves* about Eames. The moment when he identifies Eames as safe, especially, is so powerful, and it hit me so hard as I was reading.

I'm really happy it came out anything like realistic... I got all my information on the subject from, like, surfing AVEN and talking to my BFF who identifies as asexual.
