Snakes in a Drain!

Well... faucet, actually.  I was about to do the dishes this morning, about 8:15 or so, and took all the dishes out of the sink, put in the drain-plug, and started the hot water, and started filling the sink with dishes to wash.  After a few seconds, something black came out along with the  water.  I turned off the water, and started looking for it ( Read more... )

Oooooohhoooooohoooo. I am shuddering.

You know, if you DO have a filtering system, maybe the snake got into the plumbing somewhere later along the line.

See my update above. As Jim and Doug both made sure to point out to me, snakes coming out of faucets is an urban myth. Blah, blah, blah. They didn't SEE it! They weren't THERE, man!

i so feel for you. i probably would have peed my pants. i almost threw up when we found leeches in the fish tank; i can't imagine a snake coming out of the faucet. nor would i be pleased with the idea that it was wrapped around it. now if only you could claim a phobia and get out of washing dishes forever...
