So julianakin 's class had their mock election yesterday because the school is used as a polling place.  There are 23 kids in his class, so it should be clear who won, right?  Hah.  After you take into account the ones who were absent, the total was 19.  Easy, right?  Well, the kid who moved up from Mexico this year was disenfranchised (I'm not even kidding ( Read more... )

 Poor Julianakin!  He had to have a root canal yesterday (his 3rd... and he's only 7!), and he is so sore!  Even with all the cotton stuffed in there, he still managed to chew his mouth all up.  His poor little lip is all swollen, and cracked, and painful-looking!  He says it's not bad, and I gave him some Motrin this morning.  Had to give him ( Read more... )

Well... faucet, actually.  I was about to do the dishes this morning, about 8:15 or so, and took all the dishes out of the sink, put in the drain-plug, and started the hot water, and started filling the sink with dishes to wash.  After a few seconds, something black came out along with the  water.  I turned off the water, and started looking for it ( Read more... )
