ha! i JUST read that article a couple minutes ago when i got into work... i know, that first sentence KILLED me, too. also a favorite was the guy who was "being nice when he said that."

He can say whatever he wants about same-sex marriage - he just can't make political statements in public while he's wearing his uniform, either for or against it. I sort of agree, I'd like to keep our military as politically neutral as possible.

Anyway, I hope this comes back to bite Kern county in the ass.

oh! i think my favorite part of the article was the very end where they argued that allowing same sex marriages would open the door for polygamy and polyamory. i'm surprised they didn't throw bestiality or incest in there while they were at it. i still don't understand why they make those leaps...probably 'cuz they can't come up with anything better. :)
