Welp, it's official. We're in Kentucky, in the middle of the woods. I'm originally from the south so it isn't such a bad/hard reality. The movers arrived yesterday to deliver our stuff. It's been a while since I've updated. Since then we've moved to Northern Kentucky, with 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 baby, and 2 parents included one which had an episode of kidney stones. We saw way too many family members, spent way too much time doing things we didn't want to do, and tried to keep a happy face doing it (easier said then done). Our stuff ( Read more... )

I know why babies aren't able to remember their infanthood- Teething....is so traumatic who would want to remember it. W. has had a long hard day. I feel sorry for the little tyke. Wow- 2 patients in 2 days. That really freaks me out a bit that I've had two people die. The one that died last night I had taken care of many weeks ago and discharged her back home. She had complications, ended up in the hospital basically to be opened up on the operating room table, closed, because everything was dying. We tried to make it ( Read more... )

Yesterday I stayed and worked a 16 hour shift, which means I was at the hospital for 17 hours..*geez*. They were super short for the night shift, so I worked a deal so I didn't have to in until 3-11 tonight. Another long night, but it's more money and at least I got to sleep in this morning. It twas a very tiring day. My day was filled with orienting new nurses (granted I am only a new nurse myself but somehow I am now a senior nurse on the floor), and then at three o'clock discovering I was one of two RN's (Registered Nurses) on the floor for a floor with 50 beds.
