Work has been incredibly stressful lately. Along with my workload increasing due to the departure of someone on our team (and the fact that we're not filling the position until AFTER a major event in October), there's been a lot of politics bullshit that I'm not enjoying. Congrats on the office change! I hope this puts you out of reach of that manager you were complaining about.

You should MOST DEFINITELY ask for a raise.. especially when you can justify it by the increased responsibility, you know? And 2 years without one is pretty shoddy..

It does... but here's the unfortunate thing... our director (of my current team) is going on maternity leave, and she wants my manager (the one I dislike) and the other manager in our office to share her position. Which means that my crappy manager would be put into - albeit shared - a position of power that would influence the work I do.

They haven't brought this to our department head yet, but I really want to fight this like crazy. If it does happen, I'm out of here. There's no way I want to work for a division that rewards bad management with shit like this. Jesus.
