-Is it knowing that in accomplishing your dream, you'll have to live with your greatest fear...but you can't escape that eventuality because this path your on is the one that the world at large says you should be on?

-Could it be the idea that you can't go after what you truly want because the world at large expects you to be strong and stay on the path...and that which you truly wanted was a goal that was never within your grasp in the first place?

That's being miserable and that's being terrified and trapped in a social formula. And fuck, can I relate to how you're feeling. There's a lot of things I want to do, but I'm gonna have to make a big scary ass jump to do em...and it's not that far away.

YOU JUST PUT INTO WORDS WHAT SO MANY PEOPLE FEEL ANGEL. MOST OF US, AT LEAST EVERYONE WITH GOALS, HAS TO SACRIFICE SO VERY MUCH TO ACHIEVE THEIR "DREAM." EVEN THOUGH IT'S THEIR "DESIRES" THEY'RE GIVING UP IN THE PROCESS. YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO DO WITH MY LIFE? I'D LOVE TO HAVE A PLANTATION IN GA. I'D LOVE TO BE A FARMER'S WIFE, HAVE CORN GROWING AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE. I'D LOVE TO LIVE A SIMPLE LIFE TAKING CARE OF MY CHILDREN. I'D LOVE TO HAVE A CLOTHES LINE IN THE BACKYARD TO HANG LAUNDRY OUT TO DRY ON. I'D LOVE TO HAVE BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER ON THE TABLE LIKE CLOCKWORK. I'D LOVE TO BE THE ONE THAT DOESN'T MAKE THE ENDS MEET, BUT THE ONE THAT KEEPS THEM TIED (AS THE SONG GOES ( ... )

Why we bring misery upon ourselves jadedangel_love February 15 2005, 20:00:03 UTC
I'll cut to the chase...... Find out what your heart truly desires and go after it. By the time you have acomplished your goal Misery will have packed his bags, rented a car, and left the building.
Remember that we bring misery to our doorstep because we want something we can't have. WE make ourselves miserable because we feel like we haven't done anything we wanted to truly do. Look inside your heart and find what you truly want. Not meaning being able to support yourself financially. That's great but who are you going to share you acomplished goal with once you have achieved it. There's no point in doing anything unless we have someone to share our happiness with.
