Saturday was spent tasting sangiovese by the beach with a wonderful group of people (after sitting in 3 hours of traffic, of course). 16 wines in a blind tasting with a goal of identifying 2 wines from the same vineyard but different vintages. brain is broken.

spent the day working on grad school apps. see this post for some background. dates have changed, obviously, but applying to most of those programs. with the addition of a back-up plan (which is starting to sound like a good idea).

last night's cheesey bread experiment turned into a cheesey bread and soup extravaganza. however, the bread turned out awesomely.
as did today's experiment in 'potato baps'. delicious.
also made monte cristo sammiches for justin, alex and renee. yum.
and cake. funfetti cake with blue frosting. why you ask? because we could!

on a gloomy day like today, what better to do than bake warm yummy cheesy bread?

never made this recipe before. its from a bon appetit from like 1993. looked yummy tho. :D
we'll see how it turns out...

so the room is getting close to done. most of the furniture still needs to be moved back in. the trim gets one final coat of paint and then the painting is finished.
things still needed include a curtain to hide my closet, roman shades for the window, and a comforter set (which i should be getting tonight from target).
