I told my dad last night that I applied for a job in Alaska and if I get it, I'll be moving up there in June(ish).

He reacted exactly like I thought he would:

"Oh! That's great! I mean, bittersweet 'cause you'll be leaving, but that's great! I hope you get it!" I said thanks and told him I'd keep him posted and he said thanks for telling him.

It's too much to pass up...I need to get on with my life, I need to get going on my path, I've been sitting here stale for far too long.

Today, I shopped for a 9mm handgun...

And tonight, I painted my nails pink for the first time in over a decade.

Also, the guy my friend is trying to "long-distance set me up with" is turning out to be a pretty nice and interesting guy to talk to. Darn Alaska.
