Good birthday
Mom invited me down to Vero Beach for a Memorial Day program at the apartment complex next to hers. My brother Ed came too. It started with The Star-Spangled Banner and ended with God Bless America. Transitions and transformation
What I can see, in a 'big picture' kind of way, since I'm not looking at everyone's posts every day, is that anyone who is attempting to have a Life, as opposed to merely having a life, is moving toward the changes, even though/if painful and moving through them, even though/if these changes are difficult/painful. new job stuff
The licensing is state licensure that one needs in order to work as an insurance agent. I think of it in a state of desperation, which probably isn't a good thing. Banker's Life doesn't reimburse for it (I don't think any company does), but it's still a requirement by the state. When I think about this one, I think I'd rather stay at Wal-mart. Weather report (Internal and external)
Beeyootiful weather here. I think we have a cool air mass over us so that even though the temps are high (around 90), it feels lovely out. Not much rain out of it, but thankfully no lightning storms either. I guess those are in the future right now, when the air temp rises. Terrific beach weather, some of which I've done. Job hunting and other news
I have an interview next Tuesday. It's for an insurance firm, which seems to be the most common response I get to my resume: insurance and other financial services. That's the state of our (service) economy, I guess. Given that I've spent the last 10 years in retail, that seems to be the next step. At any rate, it would improve my financial ( Read more... )
