I am with Larry.. Hehehe. Lots o' Googling to really understand this one. I am really enjoying it though.
One very important point though....
PLLLLEEEEAAASSSEEEE make sure you have plenty of backups of this thesis and your computer. Backup the backups! Do not rely on just one external USB hard drive. Get a couple of thumb drives maybe some blank DVD-Rs (or CD-Rs) and make several copies.
I back up on an external and I throw everything involving school into the cloud too, and on to my laptop from there. So if the ol' iMac decides to take the plunge, there will be a lot of crying over lost programs I don't have keys for anymore, and a shit ton of pictures probably. But the important stuff is safe. I started backing up in the cloud a long time ago. It's the only way I manage to not lose shit. I have a bad history of externals hating me.
Ha actually Deleuze has a much more believable and interesting description of what could be considered time travel, but he does it by picking apart the concept of time, looking at it from a Bergson-esque perspective and questioning linear time. Look up "time-image" for that one if you're interested. Although I don't recommend Deleuze if you're not really into this stuff. The dude is a bitch to read. Took me a few damn years to finally grasp his basic writing style enough to start to understand his concepts.
