I think breakfast became something poetic because by definition it's something we do shortly after we wake up. And needless to say, waking up represents a new day. A new beginning, and it's something we get to do to every morning. That is kind of a miracle. I can't think of anything that shifts faster than human emotions, so whenever I feel unclean

I think that is the best thing I've heard about poetry in a long time. Maybe really that's why we all love any poem or song or even movie quote, simply because one small part of it touches us and it becomes in some way ours.
