It did feel pretty close to hopeless at times, but I'm glad to have finally reached the end. I'm so glad it worked for you -- thank you!

I didn't think he'd ever get to that point, honestly. He surprised me too, but I'm glad he was able to loosen up that much -- even if only alone with David in the dark, even if only that one time. :)

I'm really glad you finished this story. You took it to an utterly believable place, great work! I'm also psyched about him meeting Dr. Blanchett!! :)

Really, thanks for finishing it. It was something I came back to in my mind a lot!

What a perfect way to end it! I've loved your story in this 'verse, and given the circumstances of their world, I can't think of a more proper final set of scenes, and final sentence.

Go you! (And I will be back for any missing scenes or future cookies that come along!)

Whenever a story ends in a not-quite-happy place, I'm always a bit nervous, but the story has to go where it goes, you know? I'm so glad the ending worked for you. :D

If any bunnies take over my mind and refuse to go away, I'll post them here and link at least to whatwekeep, so I'm sure you'll see them. :) I wouldn't hold my breath, though, in all seriousness. I have another novel on the commercial side that I'm trying to finish before the end of the year, and a few other stories in process, and I signed up for slashababy just because I don't want to completely vanish from fandom. [laugh/flail] Of course, that was before I got over the hump on this story and knew I'd be posting the last chunk of it now, but still, I've done Slashababy for the last few years, and I'd rather not miss a year.

Anyway, my point being that I'm booked up for quite a while. I won't say never, but I'll say at the very least, get a chair and bring a book. :)

Thanks!

Oh I loved it, and I'm so glad Liam and Orlando were reunited. I'm kinda sad it's over, any chance of some oneshots? xx

Well, you see, the problem is that the only Keptverse plot bunnies I get are the super-jumbo sized ones. [hides under keyboard] If I thought I could do something significant in 2-5K words, I'd have no problem starting. All the stories clamoring to be told are, like, longish novelettes at a minimum, so far as I can tell. Mind you, I can't always tell, but when I started A Lost Boy I thought it was going to be a long short story or maybe a novelette, so that gives you some idea of just how many orders of magnitude I can miss by. O_O I'm kind of afraid to try, LOL!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, though -- thanks for commenting! {{}}

Brava! A satisfying and hopeful ending, even though HEA is basically impossible.

I was very touched by how David recognized Liam's little breakdown as being an unspoken admission of love. I'm sure that knowledge will go a very long way in helping him to heal.

Thank you! I'm glad that came through clearly. :) I didn't want to go overboard, because Liam wouldn't, no matter what, but sometimes it's hard to judge how much is too much. I'm happy it worked.

Thanks for all your comments, hon. [hugz]
