*SO* sorry to put this in your personal journal but my post you had replied to was gone so I had nowhere else to put my note back to you! ;)
Just wanted to thank you for the heads up on the no-photos / lj cut thing on gothfash. I try so hard to keep everybody's rules straight, I'd hate to annoy someone! I think my big "checkpoint" was clicking to see what other people were doing and then if I saw pix, I went ahead. Not the best plan, huh? ;)
Anyway, I appreciate it and I also appreciate that it wasn't done in an unfriendly tone.
I don't know if you'll remember, but this past spring at C-10 we had met in Chicago. I am a friend of Matt and Kim, from up yonder in MI, and they had told me a bit about your little dilemma with the whole RCIA thing and your "sponsor". I actually went through the whole process almost 2 years ago and wasn't quite denied, but kind of had to leap some extra hurdles myself on account of being: A; A male with makeup. B; Freak-o-licious. C; A general rule breaker and instigator. D; Likely to wear more black than Father Finnigan.
In the long run once they got to know me, they either liked me because I was sincere, or didn't like me because I forced them to be sincere. It still doesn't make showing up for mass very easy, but I'm sure you've never been one for fitting in.
If you had any questions about the matter or needed to vent about it, drop a line, I know where you're coming from.
