[Since Katara's unexpected departure, Sokka has been keeping himself busy. Busy and quiet and absent. Absent from most any place he generally ventures, and engagements he might be expected to attend. He's even spending evenings away from the house, only returning to sleep for a few hour before dawn, and gone not long after sunrise.]

I miss her too. [She didn't answer Aang's message, nor Zuko's. But she saw them.]

I'm sorry. [He had seen their messages too, but just the same, hadn't answered.] She's better off back home.

[There were no words for how worried Suki was right now. Having Katara leave right when she got there was heart breaking, but seeing everyone so hurt was harder. There had to be something she could do for them- she didn't want to see her friends like this, even more so Sokka, so when she saw him there, she walked over to him and placed a caring hand on his shoulder.]

Hey, Suki. I could really use your help here, if you've got the time. I think a lot of people could really benefit from what you know, and you're already a really good teacher. [He's to the point -- matter-of-fact.]

[The compliment was nice, but he was being so serious with her right now that it almost hurt. So she didn't answer him, even though the answer was yes, she'd love to help. No, all she did was wrap her arms around Sokka and pulled him into a hug.]

[He wraps his arms around her, but he's still pretty stiff about it. Sokka clears his throat. Really, he owes her an explanation, especially since he knows she's feeling down.] I'm sorry I've been gone -- I've been trying to get all this worked out.

[He'll decide whether or not he wants some physical training once he finds out if you're okay or not. Even if it is bum fuck early in the morning. But he wants to talk in person.]

[Sokka presses the button, sending his coordinates.] If you've got anything you can bring to help out, I'd appreciate it.

We have some make shift swords we were using. As long as we get them back it should be fine.
[Bad Bon, just assuming. But he brings them anyway and when he gets to Sokka, he sets them down and puts his hand on his friend's shoulder.]

Sure I am. [Why wouldn't he be? He gives his friend a tight smile.] We've got some food if you're hungry. How've you been? It's been a while, right?

[Bubbles has been suspiciously missing from the network, too - for much the same reason, only caused by a different person's disappearance.]

[He doesn't fail to notice, and puts on a smile for her.] It's okay, Bubbles, you already help out a lot. Maybe you could just come by and encourage everyone to give it their all?
