[Since Katara's unexpected departure, Sokka has been keeping himself busy. Busy and quiet and absent. Absent from most any place he generally ventures, and engagements he might be expected to attend. He's even spending evenings away from the house, only returning to sleep for a few hour before dawn, and gone not long after sunrise.]

If you want, sure. [Sokka is certain someone is going to add her name one way or the other, but at this point he won't begrudge anyone that opportunity. Still, he's maintaining to himself it's fortune Katara has gone home -- it's safer there. More stable.] I'm trying to make it less like training and more like a class, but if you want to come down, I can show you how to use a boomerang or something. You already do a lot around here, so I don't think you have to bring anything with you.

[Usagi has clung to Haruka, who must be feeling Michiru's disappearance even more than her. She has to hold it together for Haruka's sake. But in the evenings, when she's alone in her room, she's back at the beginning: from most of the senshi, and even Mamoru and Chibi-Usa, to two others. Will she end up really being here alone some day?]

A boomerang is kind of neat. We can get a lot of good exercise, too.

Hold on, let me-- [He shifts his PCD around and takes out a pencil and paper from his pocket.] I'm going to write that down. Hitsu... [He trails off as he writes, then everything shifts again before he's back on screen.] Thanks, again. That's going to be a big help.

Hi, Aang. Come to help out? You could teach people to dance, maybe. [Not that either of them felt much like dancing, right? But Sokka's trying to be... cheerful?]

[Admittedly, Sokka wants to admit he's lonely, but how can he? They're all there, aren't they? And so many more. A few gone, but they're better off, right? She's better off.]

[Sokka sighs, and what else can he say?] I'm sorry I didn't come see you. [He frowns.] It's all so much harder now that she's gone. I feel like everyone thinks she's dead -- or at least acts like she is. She's not dead, she's just gone home. [He's emphatic about that.]

[Sokka's been busy, and now that quite a bit of time's passed, he's too tired to even snipe at Spike. He takes the plate and considers eating it himself, but sets it aside for now.] Thanks. Smells good. [A pause.] What d'you want to learn, then?

Hey, we've got some food down here if you're hungry. [He's deflecting any sort of serious conversation here.] Or, if you know anyone that's hungry and could use a good meal, even...
