MENSA

Are any of you a member? What are the benefits that make the testing and membership fees worth it? And are there local meetings, or would I have to fly to TX anytime there was an event going on?

EDIT: Oh, no. There's a game on the mensa website called, "Malarky". I see lots of drinking game potential for that one! ;D

You know I've never had my IQ tested and I'm actually really happy I don't know. I've had people try to prove they are smarter than me by flopping their mensa penis card on the table and are horrified when I say I don't even know or care, ZOMG T3H HORR3R!. I've only known nice MENSA members virtually, the ones I've met in person have been jerks.

Good to know. I see that a lot with many sites, though, regarding the nice vs. jerk/on-line vs. RL.

Some people can hide behind a computer and be quite charming, but have no RL social skills. Others can get by in society by saying what they think others want to hear, but allow their real (and ugly) feelings to come out on-line because of the anonymity.

And I'm now officially addicted to Sudoku. Damn it. ;D

It's odd how people can be so different online and in person. I like to think I'm just as much of a bitch online as in person. :) YAY bitchy!

I <3 sudoku. I try to do about half a sudoku and half a crossword puzzle every night. Not that I don't use my brain the rest of the day but with all the keeping away of brain deterioration and the rest of that jazz I damn well plan to do whatever I can.
