What do I want the next ten years to hold for me?

I turn 30 in one week. My 20's have been, um, interesting, to say the least, and I'm glad to be leaving them behind to start the next chapter of my life.

I have my mom to thank for that. She didn't really get going socially until her 30's, and while she and my dad are both in their 50's, they sure don't act like it!

Also, because she isn't neurotic about getting older, those feelings that some folks have never got passed on to me through her. Yay mom! In addition, because of my spiritual beliefs I don't buy into the whole 'women are only useful if they are young and sexy' crap, which enables me to draw my self-worth from other aspects of my life.

I prefer to think of my twenties as my "learning" decade. I got a lot out of my system and made some really huge mistakes, but I was able to learn and grow from all my experiences.

I wouldn't say that turning thirty was the magical key to maturity, but you roll up to that next demographic and have more optimisim and charm than many of your peers.

Yay sas!!!

You hit it right on the head. I wouldn't be the person I am today without all the experiences I had in my 20's, but it's a mental hurtle for me and I mean to make the most of it*! ;D

*However, I reserve the right to revert back to acting like a complete drunken idiot at WW. ;D

I thought "WW" stood for, "Where's the Wine!?"

What happens at WW, stays at WW!!!
