Aww. That was sweet. It's a shame that the part of them getting together was short (I know it's the last part but I wouldn't mind seeing more, but then I guess I can just wait til you update Anthology for some more Casey/Veronica interaction! ;)) but I do like the build up over the years! Thanks for a great read! ;)

I have been very bad about updating Anthology, but the good news is I have the next chapter almost ready for posting.

And who knows, maybe this story will be deserving of a sequel?

For killing Logan, I should be bad, but there was fun (and slightly wistful) Casey/Veronica, and I can get behind that.

So, nicely done. Also, thanks for not telling me what Logan died of. I don't think I wanted to know.

Yeah, sorry about that, but that was sort of the point of the story.

My beta and I actually discussed adressing why Logan died. I decided not to because:

1. This is really Casey's story, not Logan and Veronica's

2. I never really did decide why he died.

3. This story was already way too long, and past the due date.

Honestly, I like leaving it up in the air. It works with the story. I don't think they would have talked about it much that first day. I've just decided that they discussed it sometime over the following year.

It's bad enough that you killed off Logan, but you also had to go and call him ugly...ruthless! ;)
I did enjoy the ending though. I appreciated that you had them be friends for a year before they made any moves.

Aside from murdering my fav character, this was a very sweet story.

One question: Why was a twelve year old going to a college party?

I didn't call him ugly! I just insinuated that he didn't have classic movie star good looks. Which I don't think he does. I don't think I'd be so attracted to him if he did. What I really love is the lost-little-boy quality that he has...

As for the college party, in my mind Casey's one of the oldest kids in his class (he was already 18 in Drinking the Kool-Aid) which would make him thirteen in the first chapter. I've also decided that he probably looked very mature for his age. Combine that with the fact that he's the heir to an 80 million dollar fortune, and I think he could very easily find his way into a sorority party...

That's what I was thinking when I read it. Also, the fact that Veronica was actually his first kiss made me think that maybe 13-year-old Casey wasn't as smooth as he thought he was. (Which makes him more adorable...)

You wanna know a secret? The similarities between Jayson and Veronica weren't even planned - I was just trying to think of a scenario that would ensure she'd be out of the picture for the most part. But I like your interpretations better. Makes me sound so much more clever. ; )

And you and Ronda deserve your names at the top for helping me out of my slump. (Seriously, it's been six months since I last posted any fic!) That it made you squee is just an added bonus! : )
