Good to hear you've got work for some months more.

Also good to hear your mum and sister are safe.

One of the people at work lost their family home. The parents got out and are safe, but there is nothing left except for a brick planter box and brick chimney. Horrible.

So many people lost their homes, including one of my old coworkers. My family is lucky to be in an area not affected.

They are fine overnight with extra food, water and additional catbox. Chickens have a bulk feeder and waterer. For more than a couple days we have a neighbor check on them if Kid is not available. Honestly though, we have not gone anywhere overnight this past year. Hotel prices have gone through the roof and I was concentrating on saving money after the sudden layoff news in the summer.

I was talking to a friend who has a niece in Burbank. I can't even imagine how horrible it is there and all those poor folks. Worse for the animals as they don't have a clue what's happening. I hope they stay safe!
