I think a lot of people left after the (second, third, tenth???) changing of the guard, and not being comfortable with the ownership. It's sad that there isn't a place like this anymore that's active. I just can't abide Tumblr or that mess. If not for the secret slash group over on FB, I would probably go crazy having no one to fangirl with. :(

Still around too, just lurking. Life caught me by surprise this last couple years and I've been more in the real world than online or writing. Don't delete your lovely stories! Just check in sometimes so we all remember to dust off the LJ logins.

Do you have a Dreamwidth account? That's how I back up my fic account. (Should probably do that for this one too.) I've moved most of the fic I care about most over to AO3, after doing some much needed editing, so I feel pretty good about covering my bases. I do miss the fellowship though. I mean, this place used to be on FIRE. I'm thankful a lot of you joined SB so at least I can geek out with all of you there! :D

Do you have a consistent-ish schedule at least? That's what kills my productivity with retail, never being able to get into a groove because the hours are always changing week to week.

Lj got depressing as a ghost town plus poor mobile support ... I miss this place, and I miss actually, y'know, interacting with people, but shouting into the void got to be a bit much. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

I do, thankfully. And it'll get slightly better once I've got everything running the way I want it and can stop bringing work home with me.

Oh man, the LJ app is terrible. I downloaded it but gave up after a few tries. They really need to work on that.

Do you always work weekends? I'd like to get back into chatting but the hard part seems to be wrangling everyone together at a time that works for all. I enjoy conversing in the SB posts about FMA and Voltron and so on, but I know that's also hit or miss because FB is sometimes weird about what it allows people to see, and schedules may not always work for constantly checking in. :\

I use the ElJay app on my Droid phone, and it's marginally better, but still not great. It's sad.

Yeah, I've been getting weekend shifts pretty regularly. And on the days I do get off, I'm so focused on Get Shit Done that I don't end up doing much else. I've ki da been failing the whole online socializing thing lately for a number of reasons. (Anxiety also being one of them. Facebook can get iffy for me.)
