Orz, I'm really sorry if this vote isn't accurate because I'm not at all familiar with this series and I find it difficult to be the first voter when that's the case! O_O; From what I'm gathering about the characters here and online though, I think I'm leaning towards a Yukio Okumura vote: "I have a quite passive and quiet personality; I usually don’t take the initiative unless I’m pressured by myself or have one of my impulsive moments. I’m not a doormat, though, and very well able to say no; if I don’t want to do something, I can be very persistent"...what you wrote there seems to fit Yukio pretty well from what I can tell! I can't tell if he's necessarily super quiet, but he seems to not be "shy-in-the-timid" sense or overly extroverted like some of the other characters are...so, I think "reserved" is a good way to describe him.

He seems to have two sides to his personality, which I think fits for how you mentioned that around mere acquaintances you're more "soft-spoken, private, reserved and curt" while around friends you're " ( ... )

I haven't seen or read Ao no Exorcist but based on the descriptions my first impression was Yukio as well, but I could also maybe see Izumo and Rin in here. Yukio seems to be a shy character who really isn't a doormat and takes things seriously... But he isn't without a sense of humor after all. Quiet, calm, shy, honest, distrustful, easily offended and tempermental seems to be how people close to him would describe Yukio... But strangers probably see him as serious and grumpy XD I think I see Yukio in your Are you more... section as well: cautious, calm, a follwer, and introverted seem to fit him particularly well but he doesn't seem either confident or modest, persistent or laid-back plus he seems like more of a mix of optimistic or pessimistic - not really leaning towards one or the other since he's described as a bit bipolar (not saying you're bipolar or anything! D;) :)

I apologize in advance if my vote isn't very accurate since I'm not very familiar with the series. I think I'm leaning the most towards a vote for Yukio as well based on his description. "For the most part, I have a quite passive and quiet personality; I usually don’t take the initiative unless I’m pressured by myself or have one of my impulsive moments. I’m not a doormat, though, and very well able to say no; if I don’t want to do something, I can be very persistent." seems rather fitting for him. And he does come across as soft-spoken, private, reserved and curt at times too...and he seems like the type of character who would try to be nice if someone attempted to engage him in conversation also. He seems like he can perhaps be a bit more playful around someone he's perhaps known for a rather long time too. "Still, I keep many things to myself and don’t always disclose my true opinion on matters if I think it could offend someone/doesn’t concern you at all…but in contrast, I’m very honest about other matters. I bottle things up ( ... )

I definitely see a lot of Yukio, but I think I'm leaning a bit towards Miwa since he's less temperamental, more of a follower, and seems to fit your general mentality better. He's generally passive and quiet, but he can be persistent at times when his core beliefs are challenged. "I tend to be soft-spoken, private, reserved and curt. I usually don’t go out actively seeking conversation but I try to be nice whenever someone talks to me. Among people I have known for years and around friends I’m playful, silly, louder, more animated in general" describes him just about perfectly, and I'd say he's probably the most by-the-book of the cast. Yet, he does display a sense of humor at times and has a pretty strong sense of justice. He's calm, a follower, cautious, introverted, and fits many of your "neither" responses. He definitely doesn't enjoy conflict, and he's more supportive in battle.

lol sorry but i'm another person who's not at all familiar with this series so i ended up voting based on the descriptions, my google fu, and a consideration for what the other votes were just in case i was completely off-base. luckily for me other's were also leaning towards a yukio okumura vote

your emphasis on being soft-spoken, reserved, and more passive rather than shy or timid. also this stuck out to me can be very persistent despite my usual passive attitude. while not exactly the same kind of duality that yukio apparently has (reserved vs his more aggressive & fiercely angry side), there is a difference between how you are with some people and how you are with others who've known you longer and you're more comfortable with (quiet & private & maybe boring vs loud & playful & more emotional/reactive). he also, from what i've read, is someone who is serious/responsible/serious while still being cheerful and having a good sense of humor. i could see him in your 'are you more...' answers; calm & introverted, would rather think ( ... )
