4. Three positive adjectives to describe yourself:
- VIVACIOUS. Don't get me wrong, I have my days when I can be a complete debbie downer! But a lot of people tell me that there is a lot of energy in what I do and it shows. There's too much to experience in life! Why not immerse yourself in it?
- CARING. My greatest pleasure is derived from making sure other people are happy and taken care of. I guess you could say that it's selfish, in a sense? That I get my own type of gratification by gratifying others. But I don't know, all I can say is that I love knowing that I might be the reason someone else has a smile on their face.
- AMBITIOUS. I look to get ahead. Not in the sense of, ya know, cutting throats to get to the top, but still, there's a drive to further myself that I take with me everywhere I go. I don't want to settle for mediocrity in myself - If I'm going to do something I'm going to do it damn well, if not best.
5. Three negative adjectives to describe yourself:
- SELF-CRITICAL. I am my harshest critic. To the point where I can get so disappointed in myself that I stop being fair to myself. Sometimes I get so focused on getting better and better, that when I come up short I really beat myself up for it.
-COLD. On those days when I've disappointed myself I gotta say, I can be quite the ice queen. I detach myself from others and neglect their needs and it can even leak into what I say because I am so focused on what I need to do.
-I CRY TOO MUCH. Self-explanatory. There are days when I can be a bit over-sensitive, but then again I guess every lady tends to have them.
6. If you could live anywhere in the world for one year, where would you go, and why?: Baww only one? :-( If it's only for one year then I'd love to go to Italy and take in all that rich history and beautiful landscapes and delicious pasta and askhjk;; it just seems like such a great place to live. There's so much to do at any one time, so I doubt you could be bored for very long. Plus, I've never been off the Eastern seaboard. So this would be like the mother of all vacations for me haha.
7. Describe your relationship with love: in a word... AHHAHAHA. Every guy that happens to like me is spectacular! But I could never see myself in a relationship with any of them. Every guy I do happen to like is either a) unattainable or b) has been ripped from me before I got the chance to really start anything.
8. Favourite three books: The Lovely Bones, Where the Heart Is, Darkside Zodiac.
9. Favourite three movies (excluding animated films): Down With Love, National Treasure, Muppet Christmas Carol.
10. What is the meaning/significance/derivation of your username?: It's from a song I really like by Jack's Mannequin called "Rescued." The line basically goes, "I'm thinkin' I'd Prefer Not To Be Rescued." And just thinking about ti wouldn't that be lovely? To be stranded in a place where you'd have no desire to be brought back to where you were before?
11. If you could change one thing about yourself or your life, what would it be?: My perfectionist tendencies. More often than not I need to stop thinking and just be.
12. Why do you love animated movies? Well believe it or not I am actually looking into animation as my future career! Bringing still images to life is just a mind-blowingly awesome thing in general, and I'd love to be a part of that process. Plus the stories that movies tell are usually so rich and beautiful, it's hard for me to be able to simply admire them and say "that was nice." I want to make beautiful, moving stories, too!
13. Anything else we should know?: I really want a gyro right now :O
