Stalker "aljmamu"

Okay, so MANY people on my friends list have been friended by this user. With, I assume, no contact from them at all.  And while none of my friends have friended this person in return, they seem to have combed through my list for more "friends" to stalk.

It is unfortunate, but maybe you want to just change the privacy settings to friends only. I sent a message as well, as it is odd being flagged as a friend. I post so irregularily and most of my stalkers are anonymous that turning it to friends only defeats the purpose of detailing my adventures in Oz. (Yes, I just called my family stalkers...lol!)

His/her blog seems like an odd cry for help, replete with spam posts, intermixed with story snippets and what seem like personal posts.

Yeah, they friended me too, I was going to send you an email asking who it was. :)

I have ip logging turned on in my journal, that tends to discourage the trolls/stalkers/whatevers. Or you could go friends only as pmoc says.

I don't know where the stalker first came into my network... don't think it was with me, but say through the Durham or Oxford crowds, and then just going for friends of friends of friends and so on.

What really makes me angry is that LJ doesn't consider this a problem.

On reflection, I think it is a scammer rather than a stalker... you get curious about who's friending you, check out their site, click on their links to "work from home and make lots of money"?

I don't have this kind of problem on Facebook.
