So I'm back from my 2-week trip to Australia.  It was pretty awesome.  Getting there, not so much, but once there, I had a great time.

Well.  Just about done with the semester here.  I have finished one presentation, two research papers, and I just have a take-home final about which I am feeling very confident.  It would be nice to finish the semester with a 4.0, though I think in one course my final paper wasn't strong enough for that.  We'll see ( Read more... )

Having finished Carnivale on Netflix, I am now checking out Torchwood.  So far, a great show.  Sometimes I miss bits of dialogue due to the Welsh accents, but not too much.  The episode with the faeries was just brilliant and appropriately dark.   Too many genre shows make the mistake of having the heroes win all the time.  Doctor Who and Torchwood ( Read more... )
