Somehow I'd thought today would mark 2 years, but it was actually yesterday (March 30th). Two years since I signed up for Weight Watchers online and turned my life and my health around ( Read more... )

Doctor told me today not to lose any more weight. He said that I'm as low as I should go . . . that to lose any more would be unhealthy. I told him I'd been maintaining within a 3 lb range since December, and he seemed satisfied with that. But reminded me again, later in the appointment -- no more weight loss!

Tried the Lao Shu Jin Ya (Old Tree Golden Buds) black tea yesterday -- it was one of the samples I got from Seven Cups.

TERRIBLE. Worst tea I've ever tried to choke down. Smelled like old socks that had been through a fire. Tasted like that, too. Even tried a packet of Splenda in it, and it didn't help. Ended up pouring it all down the drain.

Just finished writing up my annual self-evaluation report for my boss. I'm 2 days early getting it turned in -- look at me go!! Seriously, though, this was the easiest self-eval I've ever had to write. He simply wanted a list of all our conference and workshop and webinar attendance & participation, plus a paragraph listing any other "significant ( Read more... )

Oh ho . . . we have a winner.

The latest tea sample we tried -- Yin Zhu Silver Dragon Pearls (jasmine) -- is freaking FANTASTIC.

I loved the scent.

I loved the taste.

I loved that I was able to infuse it multiple times and it still tasted great on the 2nd and 3rd infusion.

It was my first experience with jasmine tea, but it certainly won't be my last. ( Read more... )

Quick review of the samples we've tried from Seven Cups tea so far:

Imperial Rou Gui (rock oolong): Smells horrid. Like the smoky ruins of an old fire. Tastes smooth and good, though.

Premium Shui Xian (rock oolong): Smells smoky, but I didn't think it was as bad as the Rou Gui. Tastes smooth and good; perhaps a teensy bit better than the Rou Gui. If ( Read more... )
