Ellen had her baby. She's a mother now... it's really hard for me to believe actually. The photos make it easier. I need to go see her and Chad and her new baby soon. But how do we relate now? Can we relate at all? I think I will miss Ellen.

you can't just write her off anna. if you go into it thinking that you won't be able to relate to each other, then that will manifest itself. think positively and, if you're good enough friends, everything will work out.

you know, i've been thinking about this same thing a lot lately, in reference to my good friend diana. i haven't spoken to her at all since she had her baby, but i'm realizing that it's mostly due to my fears that we wouldn't have anything in common any more. then i hear that she is having a hard time right now, possibly dealing with postpartum depression, and possibly one of the things that she needs most right now is someone that would connect her with her pre-maternal life. now i feel guilty for not making more of an effort to stay in touch with her...keep that in mind?
