The easiest way to back up a Mac is to copy your home directory to something, like a DVD or an external hard drive. By "home directory" I mean your user directory that contains the folders "Desktop", "Documents", "Library", "Movies", "Music", "Pictures" and so on. That's probably more than you want, but it should contain all your personal stuff.
This doesn't copy applications, though. But I assume you're not worrying about that.
Teddy's in Central Square is closed on Sundays. We have some black tape that Arthur uses to repair juggling club heads. I use Flickr and like it, but I only put occasional photos there, not all of them.
Flickr is totally easy to use and has more tools available. Unfortunately, they have a 20mb/month cap on uploads unless you are a paying member. So if you want to back up all your photos, you will either have to do it slowly or pay them.
