It's been a really nice day, with incredibly thoughtful gifts from Robert and Noah -- gifts that encourage me to be a whole person and not just "mommy."

Note to self: When you have a baby sleeping (finally!) on your chest, don't listen to This American Life podcasts, as you will wake the baby with your convulsing, uncontrollable laughter.

A great way to start the day is discovering an unexpected Milka chocolate bar with hazelnuts in my bag. I stuck a couple in there the last time I traveled, and guess I only ate one of them. Now the trick is to not eat the whole thing in one day. Or before lunch.

Holy mother! Is it cold out this morning! According to weather.com, it's 20° F, feels like 11. I know I've been complaining because I wanted winter to get here, but I hadn't realized how weak I'd become with all of those 50° days in December and January.
