Shooting Guns
I got to shoot a real gun for the first time in my life today. It was pretty fun. We spent like 3 hours at the shooting range. I got to shoot a .22 caliber pistol, a .22 caliber rifle, and a .357 SIG. And I actually hit shit with the first two!! :) So yeah, I had a lot of fun, and also, the entire experience sort of made me feel a lot more ( Read more... ) -

Scientists are fucked in the head
So it turns out that I have a lot of good ideas while sleeping and/or just before falling asleep. This is fantastic, except that it makes me not get any goddamn decent sleep. Last night, Austin and I were lucky enough to score tickets to the Virginia Tech concert just around 5:30 pm (it started at 6:00 pm). There was four square going on, so we flipped a coin: heads we go, tails we don't. It came up heads.

I thought optics might be cool, but it isn't.
Optics homework is a huge pain in the ass. It caused me more trouble and frustration than quantum mechanics, which is entirely unreasonable and unnecessary. I'm going to go search for the prof in hopes of some type of help because even Austin can't solve this stupid problem.
