I'm reading Joanna Denny's Anne Boleyn at the moment. She really was an amazing woman. Has anybody else read this book? What did you think of what it said about Anne?

I have read this book. I Thought it was quite good, a different picture of Anne. One of my favourites - but in my opinion the best biography of Anne is 'The Life and Death Of Anne Boleyn' By Eric Ives :)

Yes the Eric Ive's book is the one I want to read next. I have to say some of the politics go over my head. I much prefer to read about Anne herself, her personality and her interaction with Henry. I still don't understand how he could have loved her for all those years, made the sacrifices he did and then just cruelly cast her aside.

I know what you mean about the politics (unfortunately i'm studying the faction politics surrounding the fall of wolsey at the moment so i have to read about it lol) But the more i read, Anne's rise seems to not only be down to Henry's Infatuation, it also owes a lot to faction politics..simmilarly, her fall is not just down to Henry, but again to the politics of the time.
