kirsch (a short fic)

May 16, 2011 18:36

I initially wrote this last night just on a light whim, recalling the story in Parachute Infantry about the bottle of kirsch, but today I've been obsessed with this song and it's lent this a darker cast (even if the song is about Judas and Jesus and even if it doesn't totally fit....)

You lead me on with those innocent eyes ( Read more... )

Hehehe. Thanks.
It just occurred to me last night, remembering that kirsch thing from Webster's book.

ETA: ...and then it turned into Phallic Symbols Theater.

Oh! Oh! Oh! And I'm not even a Webgott fan. But this is SPECTACULAR!

And it's so damn good to see you posting at c_t, too. I've missed you. *squeezes*

OMG how can you not be a Webgott fan? ;) Don't answer that, I won't hear it! :O
j/k. But they are my OTP. I just love them. I especially love them being dropped into AUs but that's neither here nor there. /ramble

Thanks!! I've got something else I might post this week....

It's not that I dislike Webgott, I just am barely able to pay attention in the face of Winnix and Speirs/Lipton and of course the classic pair, Mellet/Herron. (OK, j/k on the last one...)

Please do keep posting to c_t! The old place ain't the same without you. And good LORD, keep rambling. :D

Yeah... when it comes to BoB, there are a TON of pairings out there. My word.

Okay :D Speaking of rambling, I swear I remember reading a Webgott ship manifesto years ago. Where do you think I might find such a thing? Also, does c_t take prompt posts along the lines of "I want someone to write _________"? Usually when I see prompt posts they're asking for prompts. I'm not sure if I'm making sense, I've been all over the map today.

I'm not an avid Webgott shipper, I mean I appreciate their shipping (I find their dynamic incredibly interesting!) but I guess I'm not that huge of a shipper, but this FIC.

THIS FIC.
Dear me you might have shifted my opinions! :D

Can I just say hot? I really love how you didn't go overboard with the sexual side of things and left it just where it was. And what's best for me is that I can picture the scene vividly in my head! Them leaning against the headboard, crossing ankles, sharing cigarrettes and that KISS... Damn. :D

Oh my goodness! :) That's so exciting, potentially shifting other's opinions re: one's OTP.

You know, thanks for that, because it just was not going to become explicit. And it was going to end right there. I mean, that's just what happened with it, and what it wanted to do. It's not that I have a problem with explicit fics -- I certainly do not, cough cough -- but that's not what this one did. Oddly, while I love reading 'em in the case of Webgott, I have a harder time writing 'em. Maybe it's because they're so intense to me to begin with.

And what's best for me is that I can picture the scene vividly in my head! Them leaning against the headboard, crossing ankles, sharing cigarrettes and that KISS... Damn. :D

Awesome! I'm a really visual person (even if that does make for stunted writing sometimes), so I'm glad the image comes across.

Thanks!!

It is! That being said, I've always had some sort of weakness for Webgott, I just wasn't convinced enough, maybe. XD But I do love myself some Webgott!

I don't admit this often - but when I see NC-17 fics I usually avoid them, unless there's a really sound story to go with it or that it's my favourite pairing. I personally feel like NC-17 fics get repetitive after a while, no matter how much emotion is put into them, that's why I prefer non-sexual scenes a lot more. And what you did was perfect because it's exploring sexuality without getting explicit. :)

(Are you raphmike on Tumblr?)

I will read NI-17 but I'm not always in the mood to read it or write it. Plus it's sooooo subjective. Not everything needs to be super-explicit, but I think sometimes there's a perception that the more graphic the better.
