It's just so frustrating, especially because I feel like this is a symptom of a larger problem, namely that women have been taught that the way to make themselves feel better about something is to put other women down.
Have you ever read Cunt? It really opened my eyes to the way that women in North America treat each other.
From an old and fat person...you just have to let this crap roll off your back. It is not worth the energy to worry about stupid people who will never understand basic concepts.
I am so glad this is the way your post went because the moment I saw the picture (before any text) I felt uncomfortable with the way it shames thin people. :(
I am in no way thin but no woman should be made to feel like her body isn't good enough.
The other issue is that pretty much everyone thinks Marilyn is gorgeous so it's not like we're showing an average woman here. Then add the fact that the thinner, smaller woman is also much further away from the camera making marilyn look larger than she actually is but notice she still has a perfect body shape.

I love that you know this much about her. Seriously! I am the same way about Sylvia Plath. Well, I don't know her measurements, but that's probably because she wasn't famous for them.
Someone commented on the picture on Facebook saying that neither woman looked healthy. I told the dude that a) that's a pretty small margin of "healthy" then, and b) he's not qualified to say that unless he's a doctor who treats both women.
