Maybe it's the weather, March can be a depressing month. I admit this is a pretty sad fic. I started writing it right after reading the HBP so maybe that's why it's so gloomy.

I'm biting my thumb.

Oh. Fucking. God. That's an incredible fic. Achingly painful. And i love that your Lupin's is such a cold bastard. Resplendicent in all his flaws. And Severus is so much Severus, so vulnerable and awkward and fierce and self-hating and their relationship through the years is perfect. You've blown me away.

Sorry's such an awful word, isn't it.

*shivers*

Thank-you for the nice comments. I admit I have a soft spot for angsty romance that spans decades. I imagine with Snape, though, if he fell in love at 12 years old, he'd never love anyone after that. He's seems a very persistent lover in my mind.

Holy shit. Yes. Yes, I think it's safe to say you can still write. :)

That was really amazing. Every subsequent scene was like a new twist of the knife. Snape blushing at the bed and then seeing the wolf -- and then being so ashamed when he remembered that -- just killed me. And his clumsy attempts to reach out to Remus after Sirius's death -- ow ow ow. And then the final, worst thing -- Remus riffling through Snape's mind and finding only "these unimportant recollections". Oh god! It was like physical pain, reading this. But a good kind. :)

I'll definitely be rereading this. Probably many times.

Thanks for the nice comments. Snape blushing at the bed was the first image I got for this story, I kind of build everything around that. It seemed a pretty sad thing for Snape. I just wanted to explore the idea of the shack incident not just being scary buy humiliating as well. Poor Snape.
