Very, VERY powerful fic!

The small, well-thought-out details were wonderful -- the designing of Sectumsempra, Draco's concern about the potion, Snape's wand inching towards him wormishly...

Can't wait to see more of your work ^_^

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the details and the sectumsempra bit.

Wow. Just wow. This is so unapologetically sad and honest. Poor Severus...

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. Poor Severus, indeed, he gets to be a more tragic character in every new book.

oh the angst!!!! *tear*
"unimportant" if you remember something, it's because there was some significance in that memory. It just made me sad Lupin waved them off as they were nothing...

Thanks, I'm a sucker for angst, I swear it actually made me cheerful to write this, I think I was able to channel all my angst out into the fic. Lupin does act very cruelly in the end but he has been through a lot, too.

Lovely. I can really see this as being the story of Snape's whole life in snapshot photos. And the "unimportant recollections" was the knife in the heart after all that. A really wonderfully-written story.

Thanks! I was worried about this story since it was just a series of snapshots at first. I actually came up with the frame story of Lupin performing legilimens late as a way to tie all the elements together. That's when I decided to have Lupin do the crucio, too and the part about the unimportant memories. It sure upped the angst for poor Snape.
