Man, this was awesome. I was excited to read Pyro/Gambit in a fic, since they are my favourite to read. Which, really, is sort of silly since I only know of my friend sionnain writing them and I don't get to read them nearly enough. So, thank you! And Pyro/Magneto has become my guilty pleasure, so to read a fic with both pairs? *dies from happiness*

I really enjoyed this, too. Great characterizations of both Pyro and Magneto. I really enjoyed the added touches, too - Pyro in jail, his poor frost-bit fingers, the Beef Chow Mein, mutants working to keep other mutants "in line." And the zippo! All of it added togething into a very lovely fic.

Great job!

Thank-you. I'm going to have to go read sionnain's Pyro/Gambit. I actually hadn't thought of them as a pairing until I started writing this but they work in a lot of ways. I'm glad you liked this story. Thanks again for the sweet comment.

You should read her P/G, it's really good! Love those boys. Mind if I rec to you? They started out as a side pairing in her fic, Ideology, which is an awesome Rogue-centric fic, but she's written a lot of one shots with just them, which can be found here (My favourites are Surreptitious and Canadian Whiskey, but that's probably because they were written for me. :D )

And, thanks about the icon! But I didn't make it, as I sadly don't know how, but I do tend to stumble across really good ones.

I love the edginess in this, and the moral ambiguity, and the desperation. Oh, and Remy! I love Remy, dancing around the edge of it all.

It's so sad to see John desperately trying to be the good lieutenant. And Erik taking advantage of that - he's a villain, all right.

I love how John hated that he had learned about fixing furniture. Antiques Roadshow! *snort*

Thanks! Edgy. Hee. That's what I was going for. And the moral ambiguity, that's why I love writing the bad guys. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

That was just wonderful. Love the fact you added Gambit. He's my boy. And John's twisted thoughts about Bobby and Rogue, how he hasn't been able to let that go, so perfect. And Erik, shoving him away and John so stubborn to not leave.

I think I love the end the best. How you brought back John's old Zippo lighter and how Erik had kept that. He did care, in his own evil not-so-supervillian-anymore way.

Thanks! I love Gambit, too. I kind of wish he'd been in the movie, but maybe it's for the best. I'm glad you liked the story, it was fun to write.
