The next day we went to the airport and picked up Ben's bag. On the way, we drove through the Carib territory and bought baskety gifts. We picked up a 10-yr-old-or-so boy on his way to the airport from school

Sorry I'm not posting pictures but I'm trying to link to others' pictures as I go. We took some (I'm not like some people, I don't take so many), but livejournal isn't as photo-friendly as, say facebook, and none are scanned. Remember, this was in 1996, before digital cameras or phones with cameras! I didn't even have a cell phone then.

But yes it is a beautiful place, not all casinoey like some islands in the area. They have really tried to promote eco-tourism there, and it shows (or it did at the time -- I assume still).

Oh, don't worry about posting pictures - I'm finding them all over the web since I'm not familiar with the place. I'm enjoying your entries, though. :)
