Rocks 'n' stuff

The other morning I decided my bowlful of rocks needed to be tidied up - meaning each one wiped off with a cloth that had boiled oil on it at one time.  Such a lovely collection in the brass bowl - they are mostly from the Bay of Fundy - Halls' Harbour, Harbourville, and the majority from Scot's Bay at the very top of the Bay.

Be duly warned, I'm going to go through the lot of them! They all need attention, so I'll dust and photograph at the same time - life is kind of slow right now, so why not. But we did have a mild set of the giggles this afternoon. My SO spent nearly all of it trying to get the text on a card going the right way, and I was busy sorting out the rocks. We both, almost at the same time, said "if anyone asked me what I do in my retirement, they'd never believe me if I told them". But you know something? It's absolutely wonderful to be able to mess around all afternoon on something that is totally unproductive and lacking self-improvement. Bwaahahahaha.
