It seems hard to imagine now but as I child I was the typical "always had her nose in a book" I suspect many of us were. All my childhood books are in my parents' loft and there are enough for a small library. I probably stole a few from libraries over the years or just...didn't return them. I'm feeling a bit scared of living in this country at the moment. I was just reading an article about the racist violence in Belfast and that word "indigenous" popped up again.
