I just had another little exchange with a relative.  I'd like to be able to type, "Well, at least it wasn't a forward," but I'm not sure I can count brainwashed ranting as intelligent debate.

Ugh! How very diplomatic you were. I'd have been spluttering.

Also, I'm pretty sure that that person would have plenty to say against a liquor store or a strip joint right next to a school. Not to mention that the "five mile" law is mythical.

My parents get all this anti-=Obama stuff from the NRA...really, several mailings a day. They cannot understand that there's a relation to the fact that the NRA (and affiliated state chapters) make money off people being scared of Obama. I don't even want to know how much my parents have given but I bet it's upward of $1000.

Wow, that's a lot of mail! No wonder the cousin is all rabid about it; I'm sure they get the mail, too.

I was so angry I was literally shaking; if I had not been carpooling with Dave today, I would have left work for the day. Soooo ticked.

Hang in there!! People like that - there's no changing their mind anyway. They made up their mind a long time ago.

Be heartened by the fact that even in Alaska Palin loses to Biden in the polls. :-D

Oh lordy. I'm sure they do. This is the land of Sali and formerly of Chenoweth. She was famous for declaring one of the votes held against her wasn't even a real vote - she was just practicing. *rolls eyes*
