hey come on, dont be mad at mom. she was a little hammered and she was joking, in the first place. but the main reason she said that is that she loves you so much. for people who love you it hurts to see you in pain. so they wish you'd fake it rather than really have it. try to understand.

I know mom got hammered and I know she cares a lot and that I understand, but it's hard to keep hearing this shit - now no matter what I do I come across: "Oh, so if you can do that, means you're fine now, huh?" - that's really pissing me off. Yes, I will be fine within these couple of weeks but I will be healing my neck for the next couple of months, but who cares... as long as I'm not lying and screaming, I'm fine...
