[My. It's nice to see the monotony, the boredom that he had been afraid would permeate and pierce everyone in this town, was already being dispelled. Lucifer just watches and follows in the shadows for a bit before deciding to make his presence known.]

That is quite an impressive pet.

How did you make it?

Hmm? [It takes him a moment to locate Lucifer, since he hadn't quite been expecting someone of that height -- but once he does, Anon shakes his head at himself with a laugh. Human senses are so dull! He should have sensed him quite a while ago, no matter how small he is.

He's still got so much work to do.]

It's pretty great, isn't it? Unfortunately, I can't claim credit! I only found it on my way home.

[To him, of course, the corpse is no corpse at all, but looks like a veritable hellhound -- some dog-formed creature of shadow with eerily-lit eyes, residual hallucination from earlier. And it is loping along on a perfectly respectable leash.]

Yes, quite wonderful.

[Lucifer looks down at the corpse for a moment before looking back up at Anon. It's occurring to him that you and he quite possibly aren't seeing the same thing. Though he doesn't want to phrase that just yet.]

Tell me. Are there many here? Where did you find it?

I'm glad you like it. And there were a lot of shadows and monsters and shadow monsters around a while ago, but I think they went home into the nighttime.

[He's paused, and leans down solicitously to ruffle his prize.] Good boy. Why don't you say hi to him? Go on.

[A gentle jerk makes the body sway a little.] There we go.

[Coming home from park after school and seeing that dark stain, Lili felt like she was going to be sick. Still, she had to investigate. She followed the stain and her face went pale.]

A-Anon? What are you doing?!

[He perks up at the sound of another voice; he's been humming to himself (and the corpse) again. He leaves the knife stuck in the corpse's head and beams up at her.]

Hey, Lili! There was kind of an invasion today, and I brought home a pet. What do you think?

tsunkinesis November 20 2011, 07:49:52 UTC
That's not a pet though, Anon. Can't you tell that's a corpse?!

[She's seen some freaky stuff from going into people's minds but this took the cake. She's trying her best not to hurl]

Where did you even find that?

[Um, okay. What was that kid doing? Dragging another kid after him like that. The girl is so obviously dead, and seems to be human. Most humans would be deadfrom such fatal harm, of course. Nurarihyon looks at the redhaired male dragging the girl down the street. He's not freaked out or anything, but he does think that it's sort of a weird action of a human.]

Hey, and I though humans were playing the 'white' guys.

[He blinks upon hearing the voice and looks around -- and doesn't see Nurarihyon, exactly, but an odd, shadow-distorted version of him. He looks kind of like a shadow silhouette. The only clear thing is the voice.

Anon pauses, and tilts his head curiously at the creature.]

White? Humans? What are you talking about?

hyon_soudaishou November 23 2011, 20:44:01 UTC
Well, you're dragging around a corpse, that's not very white, is it? [The whole 'white' thing is a normal thing to him, so he doesn't get why Anon is confused.]

[So Badou's headed home. It's been a little freaky with the phones and people acting batshit so he's looking forward to some semblance of normality. But this is Badou we're talking about. He sees someone dragging what looks like a sack down the road. It's only when he gets closer that he realizes it's a corpse.]

What the fuck?!

[Starts to back away slooowly..]

[He perks up at the voice -- he recognizes that voice!

And when Anon looks over, it's definitely a familiar face looking wonderfully flabbergasted at him, as always. Really, how can you be surprised so many times by the same thing? Humans sure are strange!]

Ahh, what is it this time? Come on! I'm not even doing anything out of the ordinary. Human walk their pets all the time, right...?

[The next second he's... swinging the corpse in a beautiful arc, direct at Badou's face.]

[OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD WHAT IS THIS?]

A DEAD BODY ISN'T A PE-[A horrified look crosses Badou's face as Rin's body approaches him in what feels like slow motion. He tries to move away quickly.] FUUUUUU-[With a loud whump that can only be the sound of a dead robot corpse hitting the soft fleshy solar plexus of a chainsmoker, Badou falls flat on his scrawny ass--Absolutely winded and guaranteed to have a big ol' bruise there come morning.]

[THIS

IS

SHROOMFIELD.]

... Oops. My bad, Robert doesn't know his own strength and he's a little too friendly. So sometimes things like this happen!

[He reels the corpse back in and regards it with a serious expression.] Bad boy! You're not supposed to jump on people like that. Even though he's stronger than a normal human, you still shouldn't do it!

[Flandre was habitually more active as everything got darker; today she was in the yard, pouncing on leaves floating by and fluttering after others in gloried hops, her batlike wings flailing mostly ineffectually. She seems particularly focused on leaves that drift into shadows, where her red eyes light up like little coals.

But she is distracted from this leaf-catching-endeavor by someone new going by. Someone strange!]

What are you doing?

[Obviously the best thing to do is strike up a conversation.]

[The rain of leaves stirred up by Flandre's playing enters Anon's imagination as shredded bits of shadow and scornful little black-winged beasts that he's only seen a few times. He's not sure he likes them--

But 'Robert' tugs on his leash, and Anon looks over just in time to see someone speaking to him from the side of the road.

... She looks a little familiar, with twin-tailed hair and round glasses, but he doesn't remember her name, nor her having wings. Humans aren't supposed to have wings, after all. How odd.]

... I'm walking my new pet! He's a little restless right now since I just captured him, but it'll probably be okay unless too many of his friends come back to play.

[All the shadows seem to have gone off for the day, but Anon's never one to take conveniences for granted.]

Him?

[Flandre's head tilts waaaay over as she looks at the...corpse following this strange man around again.

Yeah that looked like a girl.

Her wings refold on her back a bit, confused.]

[Nope, it is clearly a dog. Anon tugs the corpse forward a little, so the newcomer can have a better look at it; at the same time, he kicks irritably at the beasts swarming his ankles where the "leaves" fell.]

This guy! Are your human glasses okay?
