Success!  I managed to give blood this time!  Now I get to goof off for the rest of the day.

 Thinking about art lately... I've let my style get overelaborate, and overly stuck on realism.  I'm stifling potential for expression with my rigid adherence to realistic proportions, and trying to cram too much into my drawings and my characters and my dialog and my plots.  This week I drew enough to cover the floor of my living room.
This isn't as big of an accomplishment as it sounds: my living room is the size of two twin beds pushed together, and I went to lifedrawing Sunday and Wednesday, so most of what's covering the floor is large sketches of naked people.  I'm almost done with a large portrait, 14 ink ( Read more... )

 Donated blood today - I think I've figured out how to do it right.  Starting at least two days before, drink plenty of water and make sure I'm getting more iron and vitamin C than I usually bother with.  It's a good thing I like water, spinach, and grapefruit.

 It's still winter, going by the sunlight, but according to the temperatures, it's spring.  It's beautiful out.

Still a hard worker.  Still working hard rather than smart, honestly, but I've been getting better at that.  Schedules help.  Keeping track of how long work actually takes me helps.  Thinking before I jump into a project helps amazingly.
