I've had very little variation on the "Really?! How do you TASTE???" exchange.

I assume I taste like chicken, but don't particularly want to find out for sure.

y.. most of the time it is just ' how do you taste'.. though one reaction that stands out is when my friends husband found out. He got all excited and was like.. "so i can fart right next to you and you would never know it?" and i was like.. "um.. probably not.. no" and he was all "im going to test that out ".. i don't know if he ever did or not.

i also get a lot of apologies when people find out or forget.. cuz they usually are asking me to smell something or commenting on a smell when i explain and I'm one of the lucky ones who was born without the sense of smell so I don't really know what I'm missing so it doesn't really upset me so I'm always like 'what are you apologizing for? it bothers you more than me'

I've actually had the question of why I have a nose as well... It was sort of in fun, but sort of a real question. Sad.

Same as the person above, people get apologetic when they forget. My boyfriend's mother especially.

Also, people are always trying to get me to smell things. I humour the people that matter to me and enjoy their disbelief when I come away from something really stinky with absolutely no reaction. They don't get it and I don't get why it's so difficult for them to understand!
