Hi.  I just joined.  I'm 18 years old nerd getting ready to begin my freshman year at college this fall.  I'm a newbie to Quinn's world.  I decided to crosspost and see if I can get any positive debate about my thoughts.

You didn't mention (unless I missed it) that you had read any of his books. I recommend that you read, at a minimum, Ishmael and the Story of B and then check out his suggested reading list. Glad to see you are interested anough to spend considerable time on the website. It will give you a bit of what Quinn is trying to say. Good luck!

Yes, that's because I haven't just yet. I just found out about him few days ago or so. I have been told to read about him and read his books. I was also told that Derrick Jensen has a good book to read, too.

Yes, Jensen has several out, though I found him more difficult to read, but that's just one man's opinion.

In my Ishmael discussion group in Austin, TX, the comparrison was: Daniel Quinn changes your mind, Derrick Jensen makes sure it'll never change back. Jensen's work really does crack your head open. It's like taking the Red Pill - you can't go back. I highly recommend it as a sequel to Quinn's work.
